MEET THE CHARACTERS
Introducing our "Witches" in "The Witches of Eastwick" The many faces of Jane Smart, a cello playing divorcee, looking for love. She is played by our director Karen Pankhurst, who needs no introduction.
Karen has been nominated for a Best Director award in the forthcoming Somerset Fellowship of Drama David Beach Awards.
Another "Witch". Meet Alexandra Spofford, sculptor and poppet doll maker from Eastwick. She is played by Sukie Read, who again needs no introduction, having entertained us enormously in "Into the Woods,","Anything Goes", "Everything Goes" and "The Drowsy Chaperone", for which she has been nominated for an award. A lovely versatile actress with a great voice. Another reason to come and see "Witches of Eastwick at Milborne Port after Easter.
Introducing "Witch" Sukie (not to be confused with the other Sukie!), Ezzy Roach, who delighted us in "Drowsy Chaperone" as the ditzy showgirl Kitty.
In "The Witches of Eastwick" Sukie Rougemont, the assistant editor of "The Eastwick Word", is an insecure divorcee who develops her power and confidence as the plot progresses.
On stage, Ezzy has a great presence, a lovely singing voice and some great dance steps.
Don't miss her powerful performance.
Meet Daryll Van Horne, the mysterious New Yorker who has taken up residence in Eastwick, played with great style by MPOs acclaimed leading actor Lloyd Davies, also up for an award for his performance in "Drowsy Chaperone". Lloyd has shone in many MPO shows and brings wit, energy charisma and musicality to every performance. He and the three "witches" make a great quartet as they propel the show to its dramatic conclusion.
MPO Musical Theatre's "The Witches of Eastwick" plays from April 23-26 (The week after Easter) in the Milborne Port Village hall.
